Champions - Regional Silver Stick
After starting off trailing Dorchester 3-0 after 2 periods, the boys settled in, dug deep, and played some of their best hockey so far this season Nov. 25-27 in Collingwood. They won the third period of that game 1-0, then handled Acton 4-2 before chasing Midland 6-0 to set up a semi-final match-up with the host Collingwood Black Hawks. The team thoroughly outplayed their opponents by a wider margin than the final 2-0 score would indicate. Dorchester was the opponnent again in the finals and after jumping out to a quick 1-0 lead the team played strong at both ends of the rink to win the game by that same 1-0 score. Banners fly forever and the team is very proud to be part of a rich tradition of New Hamburg Huskies Silver Stick Champions.
