Last Game of the Regular Season
The Home Hardware Novice LL1 team finished out their regular season schedule with 4-4 draw against LL2.  It was a great game by both teams and an excellent way to finish the season.

LL2 got on the board first, but early in the second period, Ethan quickly deposited two goals into the top shelf to give his team the lead.  A few shifts later, Carson picked up the puck behind the goal line in his own end, and proceeded to skate through each and every player on the ice...some of them he even went around twice.  By the time he got to the offensive blue line, he was all alone the rest of the way.  At the hash marks he wound up for a big slapper and put a low hard shot into the net on the stick side.

But instead getting down over this, the boys from LL2 battled back to tie the game.  In the third, Ethan once again grabbed the puck and headed towards the goal on the stick side of the goalie.  He let another roof shot go that hit the post and the crossbar before landing on the ice and just barely over the goal line.  4-3 for LL1!

Once again LL2 battled back late in the game and scored a top shelf goal of their own to even things up at 4.

Taking home the hard hat for LL1 was Casey.  Casey saved his best game of the year for the regular season finale.  He was a force on the  right wing as he did an excellent job winning battles at his own blue line to get the puck out. On the forecheck, he was relentless as he chased down opposing players and got himself in position to pick up some loose pucks.  Had it not been for two incredible saves by the LL2 goalie, Ross M, Casey would have had two beautiful rebound goals in the game.  You can be sure that in the playoffs, Casey will continue to go the net with his stick on the ice!  Great game, Casey!

Good luck in the playoffs boys!
