Cole and Brody are Slushie Stars in 4-0 win
The LL3 Ulmer team came out a little slow Saturday morning after the long break from game action but found their skates and stick midway through the 1st period. Cole Doherty was the offensive star as he scored all 4 goals. His linemates jumped into the action and Riley had 1 assist and Sam had 2 ! A great job by both Riley and Sammy in our end moving the puck out of our zone and getting it between the blue lines where Cole snapped it up and rushed hard to the net on numerous occasions. listened and learned in practice boys, this is what makes the practices so worthwhile to see how you can apply the drills into the game!
Brody was a tower in net and stopped many shots as the LL1 team gave their all in the 2nd and 3rd periods but couldn't beat the Nelson netminder. Playing the angles, jumping on loose pucks, shovelling it into the corner were all in the game plan today as Brody was a shining star in the crease!
Great defensive play by the whole team helping Brody in our end was very important and all are doing great as we get into the home stretch of the regular season and prepare for the Embro Tourney on February 9.
