Playoff hair gets us a tie
The blue and yellow playoff hair dyes of Riley, Brayden and Kaden must have worked because the boys were buzzing all over the ice today.  The 1-1 end result didn't seem right but we need the point in the round robin playoff standings!

Cole Doherty earned the Slushie skater today as he dominated the game with speed, breakaways and lots of shots on net.  He ended up scoring the lone goal but if not for fantastic play of the LL1 goalie, he surely would have had 10.  Great work today Cole!

The team was short players so with 8 skaters the boys really gave their all and really wanted an overtime period to try to get the win.  Cole, Brayden, Tye, Cooper and Riley were constantly pressuring to get the puck and everybody had their chances.

Brody made several key saves but the breakaway specialist Ethan #7 only needed 1 chance and with 1:30 left he got it and made no mistake.  Brody's kicksave a few minutes before the goal really did turn out to be the game saver as it was a great butterfly move.

Kaden, Owen and Cohen held the blue line and also made some good rushes today trying to get us a few more goals but all ensured our zone was covered.

Great work to everybody for remembering their positions in our end - defense protect the goalie and get the puck, wingers to the boards and move it out of our end quickly, and centerman support the wingers - the boys have really embraced their positions and a lot of passes today are proving the drills in practice are paying off.  Keep it up guys!
