Early exit from local Optimist Tournament
We had a great start in the New Hamburg Optimist tournament as the boys rolled over the Plattsville Rage 6-0 in the first game of the day.

Tye earned the Slushie skater as he continued to skate hard to the net and scored a gritty goal.  Brody coninued his slushie shutout streak and played well all day.

Brayden led the pack in goals as he notched 2 nice ones

and has proved he can play defence and forward and take care of both ends of the ice.  Cole added a goal and an assist and is a true power forward in the front 6.  Riley and Kaden aslo scored a goal each and have jumped into the offence at the right time of the year.

Unfortunately, later in the day we didn't get the bounces in the semi-final game as a 3-1 loss to our arch-enemy LL4 eliminated us from the 'A' Championship round.  Next year we'll have to work on meditation and rest prior to game 2 of tournaments as we just don't seem to have the 'jump' that is needed to get us into the finals.

Our final practice of the year is Monday at 5pm as we prepare for our 'A' playoff championship game next Saturday at 12:45pm as we get one more chance to play the LL4 team.
