Peewee vs Oakville, October 9th
David met Goliath. Different story but the same results happened when New Hamburg PeeWee AE played the Oakville Generals Oct 9th. The Generals did have a Goliath (Joshua Cipolla) but the Huskies had many David’s. Ethan Field crumbled the Generals Goliath first and once the Dogs knew he would fall he was hammered all game.

Both squads played a fast physical game with many rushes and only three penalties in total for both teams. Emmet Latyn’s pass to Jared Proll stunned the hometown favorites stand with the Dogs posting the first in the middle of the second period. Cipolla (Generals) had other intentions when he evaded numerous body checks to send a missile into the Huskies net ninety seconds later. The Dogs momentarily thrown off their game saw the Generals pop another three in the second to close the period  4-1 Generals. Head Coach Chris Lacroix reminded the boys during the second intermission if you stop skating it is a long uphill battle. Third period play was intense with many shots and checks. The sideline drive from Josh Potts set Latyn up for his second goal of the game. The clock favoured the Generals in this round that saw the Dogs lose their first league game of the season 4-2.  League play will see the Dogs and Dundas Blues next. Go Huskies!!!
