The Royal Rumble continues between Dundas Blues and New Hamburg PeeWee AE’s
The Royal Rumble continues.

Dundas Blues and New Hamburg PeeWee AE’s faced off against each other again Oct 12th in what is shaping up for a fierce season rivalry. The last game between the squads ended in a draw after a very physical battle. This time would be no different with severe physical battles from both. Tyler Jackman had a stellar game with a hot glove and impregnable pads. Defensive plays from Joey Entz, Scott Carey and Ryan Pierson closed the door on many rushes. Point shots from Alex Kyle, Adam Barr and Dale Jurica fed Tyson Wagler and Brandon Ropp with many opportunities in the Blue’s zone. Nick Egli and Josh Potts punished the Blues many times with hard hits. It wasn’t until the second period when Ethan Fields caught a turnover and carried it into the Blue’s territory with a shot to put the Dogs on the board. Continued pressure from the Dogs enabled Fields pass to Sam Herrle which resulted in the Dogs second goal. With the Herrle fire lit and the teams’ show of support for Lydia Herrle’s attendance in the arena with taped lime green sticks, Herrle once again carried the puck for an ice surface missile into the Blues net making it 3-0. Third period play was an interesting period with a total of ten penalties and both teams basically playing the entire period short-handed. This presented Daniel Farrish to send a pass for Emmet Latyn’s shot that was driven home by Jared Proll. Huskies 4, Blues 0. The Dogs will face the Woolwich Wildcats next in league play. Go Huskies!!!
