Bantam LL3 Dominate Plattsville
The Delivery Guys Husky Bantam LL3 squad took their game on the road to Plattsville on January 13 in anticipation of a win that would cement them as the top Bantam LL team in New Hamburg in regular season play. The Dogs had reason to be confident given that they dominated this opponent earlier in the season and they knew some of the Rage players would be absent due to suspensions.

The confidence was put into action in the first minute as the Huskies blitzed the opposition net finding the mark on a shot from Trevor Brubacher with Cam Gingerich and Justin Arnott assisting. The play was clearly one-sided for much of the period with the Rage registering just 2 shots on Liam Saunders who vacationed in net. Gingerich plugged in the second Husky goal on a rebound from Jake Snider with Colin Shannon snagging a helper on the play. Connor Ross added the third point after winning a draw, rushing the net and beating the goalie on the backhand. It would only get worse for the Plattsvilles squad as the Huskies continued their relentless puck-possession game in the second. Ross added 2 more goals with Snider and Brubacher bagging singles to advance the Husky tally by 4. Assisting credits were handed out to Snider, Shannon, Gingerich, Ross, and Kale Meyer. The Plattsville Rage had their hands full with New Hamburg LL3s and struggled to stymie the disciplined team play that the team brought with them. The Dogs added 6 more goals in the third with the scoring credits going to Ross for another 3, and Meyer, Gingerich and Mike Thrush for singles. The helpers were doled out to Thrush, Brubacher, Shannon, Gingerich, Kolton Wagler, Saunders and Snider with a pair. The outstanding offensive was equally matched by the defense that absolutely shut down the Rage thrusts. Saunders registered just 3 shots in the last two periods. Colton Hussey and Tyler Szanto deserve recognition for their efforts on the blue-line in that regard. The dominating 13 – 0 shutout places the Huskies in contention for top slot in regular season play with just 2 games remaining. Brubacher collects the player-of-the-game recognition for his exemplary play but the team deserves credit across the lineup for this tremendous performance.
