The Erb Transport Novice A Huskies continued their winning ways and won the Fort Erie Andy Passero Memorial Tournament this past weekend.  The team continued to build on their October shutout streak through November into the Tournament and were riding a 19 game shutout streak.

5-0 and 3-0 wins over Welland and Riverside in the round robin setup a late afternoon game against Sarnia who had 1 goal in mind and that was to break the streak.  With wingers at our blue line throughout the game and pulling the goalie in a 4-0 game with 4 minutes left a Sarnia forward shot a bullet from the slot to end the streak just short of 2 months and the game ended 4-1.

With that behind them, the Huskies focused on the task at hand and handily beat Waterloo 6-0 in the semi final.  The final game against West London was a back and forth battle and with New Hamburg ahead 2-1 late, an empty netter sealed the victory and Championship.  Coaches and parents are all very proud of this group as they battled the flu and a 4am fire alarm at the hotel Sunday and still managed to show their determination and sportsmanship throughout their time on and off the ice.
