Novice A start Finals with win

The Novice A boys came out flying in Game 1 of the OMHA finals against the Barrie Colts with a 5-0 win!
It was 1-0 early in the game but Barrie kept the score close through the first period. New Hamburg’s tenacious forecheck set the Colts back on their heels in their end, and 2 rebound goals in the 2nd period deflated the Barrie arena and they could not recover. The Huskies continued their hard work and defensive zone coverage and good goaltending stifled any opportunities the Colts had.
The parent/fan bus brought enthusiasm to the crowd as well as a number of fans who drove to Barrie on their own. Thanks to all the cheering Huskies fans in the stands as the boys really need and appreciate the support!! Another complete team effort from this exciting group of boys, and they look forward to game 2 in New Hamburg on Saturday March 15 at 2pm.
