Woolwich Wildcats
By Jeff Porchak: After falling behind ‎by two goals and with less that half the game left, the New Hamburg Atom AE Huskies rallied for a 3-2 overtime victory over the Woolwich Wildcats on Thursday night.

With the Huskies down 2-0, Jesse Gerber broke through to get the home team on the board ‎and narrow the margin heading into the 3rd period. Colin McBride tapped in a Gerber rebound early in the 3rd to even the score. Each team had some close chances but the game was sent to overtime. In the sudden death frame, Brendan Larocque‎ managed to free the puck from a neutral zone scrum, deked a defender and broke in alone on the Wildcats goalie. A well-placed shot low to the stick side ended the game and gave the Huskies the win. Despite the slow start, the entire Huskies team banded together and played solid defense to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard for the last half of the game. ‎The Huskies have a week off before a double header on the road in Erin (23rd) and Hespeler (24th).
