Winning Wintry Weekend near Wingham
The Huskies participated in the annual Dairy Queen Challenge Cup held in South Huron Township this past weekend, playing three times in two days. Although we didn't compile enough points to reach the semi finals, we dominated in two of the three games.

The boys were eager and ready to play Saturday in Exeter, wasting no time jumping out to a lead on the Howick team and giving up very few shots. Nearly a shutout until late in the third an errant puck found its way into our net. Nolan dominated the game with lots of support taking the POG award.
Game two showed how it felt on the other side of that coin, with a rough, tough, talented team from Themsford having their way with us and although we didn't get close on the scoreboard, POG winner Griffin showed that we were not intimidated by this larger, liberty-taking team.
In the Final game Sunday, Although we heard rumor that we couldn't qualify to advance further, we played and dominated once again keeping the team from Harrow off the scoreboard. We played a complete game in both ends and gave very few chances again, with an acrobatic save from Brody to secure the win. Isaiah was the POG in this match showing lots of determination to get to pucks and keep chances alive in the offensive zone, and with great positional play in our defensive end.
Great effort by all with lots of exciting play, great determination and even playing with pride in a lop-sided match showed how well the boys have elevated their skills and competitiveness this year.

Keep up the Great Work !
