Burns Does the "Trick" - Huskies Devour the Rage
After a tough road loss to a talented Paris team, the Oak Grove Cheese LL2 Atom Huskies were looking to rebound back on home ice Saturday December 21st 2013.  Taking on the Plattsville Rage, the home squad was energized to say the least.

After a scoreless first period, Dominik Michale opened up the scoring in the second by firing one past the visiting goaltender on an assist from Jack Rempel.  This proved to be the start of an offensive avalanche as the Huskies went red-hot.    Rempel continued his strong play in the second period, scoring on a feed from Ben Baptie to put his team up by a deuce.

The Huskies scorers came into the third period hungry for more goals, with centreman Quinn Klasnic scoring a nifty goal on an assist from Ben Alles.    Ryan Yost continued the goal party, snapping the puck into the net courtesy of hard-earned assists from Riley Leis and Mason Pereira.

The mid-point of the third period saw New Hamburg forward Owen Burns crank up the heat, converting on two back-to-back goals, assists from Tanner Snyder, Ben Alles and Ben Baptie.

The Huskies didn’t let up as Leis got in on the action again, lighting the lamp on assists from Pereira and Yost.

With the score at a commanding 7-0 New Hamburg lead, Burns found the back of the Plattsville goal yet again, to complete the hat-trick, assists from Snyder and Michale.

Deep into the third period, Klasnic struck again, rifling the puck past the Rage goalie for his second of the game, assists from Rempel and Baptie.

Yost put the score into double-digits by scoring his second of the game on a helper from Pereira – his third assist of the game.

Amazing teamwork, fearless offensive play, great defence and a shutout from goalie Shaun Zwosta resulted in an incredible 10-0 victory for New Hamburg.  Fantastic effort team!
