GAME 3 ARTICLE FROM ANGIE & LISA
Angie and Lisa took the time to write up an article about our game 3 against Paris.
Thank you very to the 2 of you and also for the stats. Coaching staff were again very proud how our boys played and never give up right to the last buzzer.
The first thing we said to the boys after the game, WE PLAY AS A TEAM, WE WIN AS A TEAM and WE LOSE AS A TEAM
The game is off to a quick start. Huskies to the Paris end right away with Brandon getting a shot on the next right away. Kai makes a great save and defenses Jared and Zach were working hard as Paris put the pressure on early. Paris snuck one in the back of the net with 6 minutes left in the first period. Right after Jared made 3 amazing saves; Blake gets a beautiful shot on net and just misses. Paris comes off and put one right in the back of the net despite Kai’s amazing skills. Blake gets a break away only to be tripped. Joel. Takes a slap shot on net but it deflects off the Paris defender. Joe, Blake, Braydon and Marcus hustle in their end for a solid few minutes but just couldn’t put on in the net! We are down 2 – 0 at the end of the 1st. Marcus passes out to Brandon just in front of the net and just missed. A super close call for Kai when the puck came close to the line. Justin gets two great shots on net in the second period almost putting one in. Kyle does super great defending keeping it out of our end which gives Jacob a beautiful shot on net just missing. Huskies hustle from end to end giving it their all. Logan and Aiden work well together to try and put the puck in the net but Paris took it away. Marcus passes to Blake; Blake gets a great shot on net! Ethan sneaks the puck from a Paris player & just about scored. Aiden, Logan and Hunter are digging in front of the net and come so close to scoring. Blake comes off the faceoff and puts one in the side of the net perfectly! Just the boost the Huskies needed!! We are down 2 – 2 at the end of the 2nd. Huskies dominate the first few number of the third and show their determination for the win. Joel works hard to keep it in their end even shooting on the net from the blue line. #17 on Paris sneaks another in past Kai despite his best efforts and amazing skills. Aidan gets another great shot on net then he plants one right in the back of the net! With 9 minutes left in the 3rd, Marcus gets out in from and passes to Justin who gets a beauty shot! 7:54 Jacob gets a penalty for hooking. Blake assisted a beauty goal to Marcus to tie it up. With 4 minutes left in the third, Justin gets a great shot on net. Kyle shows his defending skills and keeps Paris out of our net. #17 on Paris shells one in with 17 seconds left. Blake makes an amazing shot on net with 10 second left! So close, you boys really worked hard as a team and it was great to see all the passing that was going on. Great Effort Huskies!!! Final Score 4 - 3
