Thank you Angie for assisting with game notes for our Huskies. In my view the boys played well over the weekend and certainly kept the crowd excited. Coaching staff and players were so happy to have Zach and Logan on the ice with us over the weekend and both did an amazing job.
Huskies came out to play a game in Lisa's honour, sticks sporting purple tape, her favourite colour.
Blake gets two shots on net but Tavistock goalie was ready for him! His third shot went In though with 6mins left in the first.
Marcus gets a breakaway with 33 seconds left goalie makes a save then Blake punched it in! Zach makes some amazing defensive plays for his mom and Logan played amazing almost scoring three goals! Ending the first period 2-0.
Second period
With 7 mins left Zach almost sneaks one in! Kai makes amazing save when tavistock gets a breakaway and defenders Kyle and Ethan did an amazing job holding them off! Keeping our 2 goal lead ending the second
Jacob put one in the back of the net making the third off to a great start!
Tavistock gets one in past Kai making it 3-1 at 12:28. Blake's makes a beauty shot increasing our lead to 4-1 at 10:20. Zach almost gets a goal again just shy of the net. Kai makes some amazing saves! Tavistock with 4mins left puts one in making it 4-2. Logan comes close to scoring a few times in the third but just couldn't get one in! Marcus plants one in with 1.1 second left in the game! Giving him his birthday goal that he was after!!
Game ended 5-2 way to go huskies!
Logan and Zach made their mom proud today with the game they played and the amazing young men that they are. The entire team was glad to see them out today. Lisa will be greatly missed as she was a huge part of our huskies family. Xo
