Novice HL4 Win Silver at Little Hockey Hero's Tournament
The New Hamburg Huskies Novice HL4 hockey team took Silver in the 1st Annual Plattsville Little Hockey Hero's hockey tournament on December 30th.
The team came up against some very stiff competition and made it through a very strong first three games with the following outcomes:
2 - 1 Win over the Host Team Plattsville
2 - 1 Win in overtime against Tillsonburg (this game went to a 1 on 1 full ice showdown before the game was determined)
3 - 1 Win over Tavistock
After the final 3-1 win over the Tavistock Titans, there was only time for the Huskies to have the ice flooded and to catch their breath before they had to head back out on the ice for the final game.
The final game was a very defensive battle with both goalies only allowing 1 goal until the final 30 seconds at which point Tillsonburg was able to squeek in a goal.
The Huskies played hard and came out with the Silver.
