The New Hamburg Minor Peewee A Huskies managed
a 5-1 win over the Milton Steelhawks at the Wilmot Rec Centre on Tuesday night.
After Milton took an early lead and went into the second period up 1-0 New Hamburg stormed back with five unanswered goals -- four of which came in the third period. Hunter Mitchell tied it in the second and then scored his second of the game early in the third to give the Huskies the lead.
New Hamburg followed up with tallies by Cody Cowell, Sam Thorne and Mitchell's third of the game to round out the scoring.
Tyler Clement backstopped the Huskies to the win, with the Huskies defense helping keep Milton's chances to a minimum.
The Huskies hit the road for their next two games, in Owen Sound on Saturday to face the Jr. Attack and Monday night in Oakville against the Rangers.
