Husky Sized Rebound!
Submitted by Dave Ward:  After a tough loss on Friday night, the Flood's Plumbing & Heating team bounced back with a total team effort on Saturday afternoon.Despite numerous highlight reel saves by goalie Shaun Zwosta, the boys couldn't stop the LL3 attack in their Friday night matchup.

The game was closer than the final score indicated as our boys had several chances at the opposing net but fought the goalposts when they weren't stopped by the goaltender.  Coming into the game against Tavistock, the coaching staff tried to reiterate the idea of a team game. It seemed as though all the players bought into the game plan from the opening whistle as the defence worked hard to limit the shots on goal by tying up their counterparts in front of the net, the wingers dug hard along the boards to clear pucks out of the zone and the centres stuck their noses into the mix as needed as the well oiled machine kept the Titans to the outside.
At the opposite end of the ice, the team worked hard to impose their will on the Tavistock defence. Using their speed and knowledge of what they were trying not to let Tavi do in front of their own net minder, the Husky offence buried pucks into the mesh behind the Titan goalie while Jordan Hopkins shut the door on the shots that did manage to get past his teammates. Coming towards the end of the game, the Titans managed to close the gap but New Hamburg stood tall and used their new found cohesion to thwart the last of the Tavistock onslaught. The best games are the ones where it is most difficult to point to one individual as the stand out player of the game. At the end of Saturday afternoon's battle, everyone knew that the boys could stand together and know that they had all played a great team game.
