Hard Fought Home Opener
The LL3 Huskies hosted the Paris Wolf Pack in their Home Opener in a game packed with end to end action. The first minute was end to end wide open hockey with chances at both ends. Tyson almost opened the scoring after a great pass from Chazen. Unfortunately, the Wolf Pack came right back and with good down low pressure managed to score the first goal of the game.

Tyson had a great break late in the period but the Paris goaltender was solid between the pipes. The Huskies were a little slow to start in the second but then Drew put a great pass out from the corner which Jonas buried, with no hesitation, in the corner of the net! Paris answered back right away with a three on one rush to take a 2-1 lead. Huskies went on the power play with 1:37 left in the period. Simon took advantage of the power play and walked in and drilled a shot in the back of the net. Simon drew a tripping penalty early in the third to give the Huskies another power play. They were unable to capitalize and the Wolf Pack came on strong. Dominik saved the day with a fantastic toe save to keep the score tied at 2. Drew picked up the pace and took off from the Huskies blue line and finally figured out how to beat the Paris goaltender by pulling him side to side to give the Huskies the lead. Unfortunately the Wolf Pack bit back with less than 2 to go and tied the game on a 2 on 1 rush. Another solid effort by the Huskies against a fast skating team. Go team go!
