Great Action in the New Year!
The New Hamburg Huskies LL3 Team got off to a great start in the New Year in their first game against Woolwich LL1. The first period started off with some great end to end action. The Huskies took a penalty part way through the third and Kai made some great saves to keep the score sheet blank. Unfortunately Woolwich sustained the pressure and were able to put one past the net minder six minutes in.
The Huskies went on the power play with two minutes left in the period but were unable to capitalize and score.
The second period opened much the same as the first, with great passing and skating from both teams. Joey won an battle down low and walked out from the corner to beat the goalie and tie the game. Dominik came into the game halfway through the period and made several great glove save to keep the score tied. Chazen finally broke the tie with a great end to end rush while the Huskies were shorthanded. He buried the puck in the top of the net and the boys were able to hang on for the win. It was great to see the Huskies passing so well and working together as a team. Good luck in your tournament in Paris!
