The New Hamburg Huskies Peewee A team successfully completed a sweep of a home-and-home against the Hespeler Shamrocks, winning the second game by a 4-1 margin.
Some solid goaltending by Jon Gervais helped keep his team in the game, as the Shamrocks outchanced the Huskies by nearly a 2-1 margin.
Owen Bruder had a pair for the Huskies, with single tallies going to Joey Gibson and Izac Blum. Blum credited the Huskies for their cycle game down low and looked for his teammates to keep their heads up and get some better shots and chances for their next game.
New Hamburg's next action comes on Thursday and Friday, first at home against Oakville followed by a road tilt in Caledon.
