Oshawa Tourney Success
Your Atom Select team rolled into the motor city in Oshawa to play together for the first time since before Christmas.

As a coaching staff we were not sure what to expect from the team since we haven't had as many practices or games we had hoped going into the tournament. Our first game was at the GM Center home of the Memorial Cup Champs the Oshawa Generals as we faced off against the hometown Hawks. Despite the heavy car legs we started strong opening up a 2-0 lead that was reduced to 2-1 but kept that way thanks to stellar goaltending by Nate H. the games MVP.

Our next game against the Rosedale Devils ended in a 3-0 win with solid defensive play by all players and timely scoring. Matt S. provided a highlight goal going roof daddy for his second of the game earning MVP honours.

After a team party, hour long games of manhunt and plenty of fun the boys rested on Friday night to prepare for their next game against Oakville in the semi finals on Saturday. The game was fast paced and the Huskies played their hearts out. Out shooting the opposition wasn't enough as the Wolves beat the Huskies 3-0. Josh B. brought home the MVP!

The boys represented our little town well against some big centres and competed hard despite playing teams who have played well over 20 games together.

Congrats Huskies.
