Huskies Take Nashville!
The Minor Bantam Huskies rolled into Nashville, Tennessee on the weekend of November 22-26 and left with a Big Bear Championship!

The boys "Won it for Woody"....Coach Woody had a health scare in Cincinnati and had to spend a few days in the hospital on the way to the tournament and then had to come home.

This was the first time in over 2 months the team was healthy and playing as a full squad. Opponents were mostly 1 year older as the division had a mix of 2 years of players.

A slow start Friday ended up in a 2-1 loss to host Nashville Flyers. Game 2 went better and the boys dominated against a good Affton Americans team and won 3-1. The 3rd game against the Meramec Sharks was all Huskies and they threw over 50 shots at a very good goalie and only had 2 goals to show for it. It was just enough as we held on for a 2-1 win and setup a gold medal rematch against Nashville Flyers.

The Gold Medal game was the Huskies chance at redemption and they didn't disappoint. 4 goals and great goaltending shut down the Flyers as the Huskies brought home the gold in the Big Bear Tournament. The boys showed class and sportsmanship in victory and made the Huskies organization proud. Congrats to all Coaches and players on the victory as the boys "Won it for Woody"!
