Tournament Champs in London!
U15 LL2 team goes undefeated in Oakridge (London) Tournament!!!
The boys started off the weekend against Kitchener Titans in what ended up being an extremely aggressive game and came out with a 4 -1 win. Every game from here on out would end up being much tighter matches.
Game 2 was against another Kitchener team, the Eagles, with the Huskies coming out on top 2-1. We then headed to see the London Knights in action vs. the Sarnia Sting at the Budweiser Gardens to wrap up the night.
Saturday morning, many of the teammates headed over to The Factory in London to enjoy some fun activities and video games to kill some time before our next game.
Our 3rd game was at 4pm vs the home town Oakridge Aeros. Our Huskies came back late in the game to tie it up 2-2. Without this tie, we would of ended up 2nd in our pool, instead we clinched the top seed in the A Pool.
Sunday morning was the semi final game at 1015am, facing off against the Burlington Bruins. Our Huskies again squeaked out a 3-2 victory to earn a berth in the Finals.
In the Finals we again faced off against the Kitchener Eagles who we saw in game 2. This was an all 2008 year team. Our Huskies came out blazing and got out to an early lead. Kitchener didn't give up though and came back to make it close. Final score was 6-5 for the Huskies to clinch the Tournament Win.
Our Blue Jerseys ended up being good luck for our team, as we wore them for every single match!
Congrats to all the boys, who worked so hard all weekend long and bought into our system of play.
