Your Oak Grove Cheese Atom LL2 team travelled up Nafziger Rd. to face the Twin Centre Stars for their second game of the season. Coming off a big first win, the coaches wondered how the team would respond. It was evident right of the bat that this would be a tough game as the Stars were shooting puck after puck at Reilly C. and Hayden J. but thanks to them, they kept us in the game.
With great team defense and some timely goals, including Sam W. going bar down and after receiving a pass from Evan H., Kohen P fired one home to start the onslaught. All said and done your Huskies came out on top 7-1. One player stood out amongst the rest, one player who never played defense before but stepped up and played a great game. He skated hard, engaged players and caused at least 10 turnovers in the neutral zone. Congrats to Tanner A who earned the well deserved hardest worker hard hat!
