Important Information Regarding a New OMHA Regulation - Please Read
Submitted By webmaster on Wednesday, August 30, 2017
A new Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) regulation allows players Minor Peewee and older from AA & A centres to try-out as an Non Resident Players (NRP) for a position on rep teams at one centre BB and below.  Each centre BB and below is allowed to have up to 3 NRP players per team.

To be eligible for an NRP card from the home centre to try-out at another centre the player must have attended the rep team try-out for their respective age group at their home centre and not been offered a position on the team.

As such, New Hamburg players Minor Peewee and older who have tried out for their respective Major or Minor "A" team may choose to request an NRP card to try-out in one centre BB or below.

The New Hamburg Hockey Association is hopeful that New Hamburg players choosing to exercise this option will try-out in one of Plattsville, Tavistock or Twin Centre - the centres from which most of New Hamburg's NRP players originate.  Information regarding try-outs for NRP's will be posted on each of the centre's website.

More information will be available at a meeting to be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Wilmot Recreation Centre (Address1291 Nafziger Rd, Baden, ON N3A 0C4).

Interested players and parents are invited to attend.
