Great Tournament Boys!!!! For not having any road games all year this was a new and exciting experience and everybody played excellent.
Game 1 against Lefroy was a nailbiter and was tied 1-1 until 41 seconds left when a breakaway goal broke our hearts. Cole scored our goal assisted by Riley. DQ player of the game was Sam Schaub as he was a digger in the corners and wouldn't stop his feet moving the entire game.
Game 2 against Ingersoll and it was tied 1-1 through 2 periods but we couldn't overcome 2 late goals and lost 3-1. Brayden scored on a nice play assisted by Tye. DQ player of the game was Stuart Lencz as he tracked down forwards and played his defensive role.
Game 3 against South Huron was our best game of the tournament as this was the #1 team in our division. They outscored us 3-0 but we ran into a hot goalie as we had a lot more chances than them but couldn't get anything past him. DQ player of the game was Tye Aicken as he had breakaways and big shots on net that were very exciting! His backchecking stopped a number of potential breakaways.
Game 4 quarter final against BCH was exciting but we ended up short losing 4-1. Cole scored on a dazzling 2 on 1 that broke the shutout. DQ player of the game was Cooper Tebbutt as he covered his point man in our zone and did his job in front of the other teams net all game!
Brody stopped countless breakaways and shots from the slot to keep these scores as close as they were so we all owe him a tap on the pads as he played outstanding all tournament long!
