Tri-County Russell Regular Season Champions
In a new format that saw all Tri-County AE1 (Harrison) and AE2 (Russell) teams play a mixed round robin before the loop was split into another round robin based on seedings, the New Hamburg Huskies Bantam AE finished the regular season on top of the Russell Division. The team found its legs and identity the first time through the schedule losing to strong AE1 teams like OMHA Finalists Orangeville and Flamborough, but defeating most AE2 teams. The team then went on a 12 game winning streak against their league AE2 counterparts to secure first in their pool by 4 points over Hespeler and 6 points over Guelph.
