The U9 LL1 Huskies brought home the gold medal last weekend, during their first full-ice tournament of the season, the St. Mary's Stonetown Classic!
During a nerve-wracking round robin of 3 games, the LL1 team came out on top with a 2-0-1 record to take 1st place in Pool A.
Onto the semi-finals where we faced Lambeth from Pool B, the Huskies came out with a 9-0 win!
In the finals vs. St. Mary's 1, the team prevailed with another shut-out by goalie Lucian Harezlak, for a 5-0 victory for GOLD!
The LL1 Huskies showed amazing team work, dedication and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Cheering on our fellow LL2 team, and spent lots of time bonding over pizza, and hangouts in the arena lobby.
A huge thank you goes out to all of the parents, family, and friends that cheered the team on over the weekend, and celebrated in the achievements of our team!
