U15 LL1 Bring home the Gold!
After a hard fought battle the U15 LL1 team brought home hardware from Ayr on March 26.

The best of 3 series was forced to a 4th game after overtime in game 3 at home left these two closely matched teams all tied up thanks to some key goaltending by Adam L .  The Tuesday night matchup started off with a quick goal by Ayr, but this didn't keep the squad down as they replied with a goal from Evan R assisted by Peyton N. With 1:36 left in the first Noah P put the Huskies up 2-1 on a nice feed up the middle by Lucas T. In the 2nd Brayden H put one one the board unassisted and there was no turning back. While Ayr rallied for 2 more, William P netted 2 for the visiting Huskies. Lucas T hit the empty netter with 1:06 remaining to put the last nail in the coffin. A strong goaltending performance by Josh E must be noted as he kept the team in the game with some beauty saves. It was a great team effort to bring the trophy home.
This team had some earlier successes in 2 tournaments finishing top 4 at the Nazem Kadri London Classic tournament, being eliminated by the tournament winning Waterloo in overtime. In Brantford at the Walter Gretsky tournament the team beat Brantford, Oakridge, Richmond Hill, Bradford, and Wasaga Beach to make it to the finals against Valley east (Sudbury). The team brought home silver finishing 2nd overall out of 20 teams!
The team will wrap up their season on April 7 in the New Hamburg Optimist tournament.
On behalf of the coaches I would like to thank the parents, players, and fans for a great season.
