U21 Back to Back International Silver Stick Champions
The U21 Huskies represented New Hamburg this weekend in Mooretown as they defended their U21A Silver Stick Championship and repeated as Champs!
In addition to the Banner and trophy, they were also Awarded the Arlene Hill Sportsmanship Award to the team and Coaches showing the best sportsmanship and having the least penalty minutes.
Led by outstanding goaltending and discipline the U21 squad never lost a game and allowed 2 goals in 5 games on their way to the coveted Silver Stick.
Wins over Amherstburg 2-1, Beverly 2-0, and Belle River 3-1 set them up as 1st place going into the semi finals. A 3-0 win over the Haldimand River Kings in the semis and a hard fought 1-0 Championship win over Amherstburg won the Silver Stick.
