2025-26 Coaches Application
Applications are now being accepted for all Representative Head Coach positions only. Submit this form to be considered for a representative coaching position with the NHHA for the 2025-26 season. Non-Parent Coaches: If you are applying without a specific team in mind, select "other" from the teams list. Applications for representative bench staff and all local league coach positions will be accepted at a later date. Please submit only ONE application, even if you wish to be considered for more than one role.

COACHING QUALIFICATION LEGEND: 1. Coaches of House League/Local League/ Minor Development / Rostered Select in U7 divisions must hold Coach 1-Intro to Coach qualification - No other qualifications are accepted 2. Coach 2-Coach Level ‘Trained’ or higher: Coach 2-Coach Level ‘Trained’ or ‘Certified’; Development 1 ‘Trained’ or ‘Certified’; High Performance 1 & 2 ‘Trained’ or ‘Certified’ 3. CRIMINAL OFFENSE DECLARATION

For the safety of all participants, I must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from my local Police Department and submit the completed VSC to the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), through their online portal. If I am a returning volunteer, I must sign and submit an annual declaration to the OHF and obtain a new VSC every two (2) years. I will ensure that a valid VSC has been submitted and approved by the OHF at the beginning of the season. (This is a requirement for ALL Bench Staff, Coaching Staff, Support Staff, and Development Staff).

COACHING INTERVIEWS

Please note that in an effort to secure the best available coaches, the Coach Committee requests candidates to develop and complete a seasonal plan for the upcoming year to be presented during an interview. 

Seasonal plan templates will be provided to perspective candidates via email by the Coach Committee.

By completing and submitting this Application Form, I hereby acknowledge and agree as follows:

CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
I agree that I will upgrade my credentials as requested by NHHA or my application will not be considered.  If selected I will attend all coaches meetings and comply with all coaching requirements as outlined in the Constitution and By-laws of the NHHA and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA).

BENCH STAFF REQUIREMENTS

At least one (1) member of my bench staff MUST be a certified Trainer.

All proposed bench staff must also complete and submit their own application referencing my application.

FURTHER CERTIFICATIONS

I, and/or members of my bench staff, may be required to attend coaching clinics and obtain further certifications depending on the nature of my and/or their position

CERTIFICATIONS & AUTHORIZATIONS

I understand that completing and submitting this Application does not ultimately guarantee me a coaching position with the New Hamburg Hockey Associations. I also understand that completing and submitting this Application, does not guarantee me an interview for the position.
