Huskies Up One in Series

The Atom AE Huskies are leading the way in their series with Tilsonburg after winning last night with a score of 3-0. Corson Myers tucked one by the goalie in the first period to give the Huskies their lead, with assists to Jack Weiler and Sam Herrle. In the second, the Huskies scored again with a gorgeous demonstration of passing by Myers, to Jake Schweitzer, then over to Brandon Ropp who fired one past the goalie. It was an incredible goal and the fans went nuts. Later in the second period, after a pass up the boards by Scott Carey, Charlie Slessor took a shot on net, and Sam Herrle got the rebound past the Tilsonburg goalie again. Terrific hustle and tough defensive play by Luke Timmons and Adam Barr. Zach Hart worked very hard on transitions, and great skating by Joey Entz. Tyler Jackman was confident in net with various saves. The Huskies take on Tilsonburg in game two on Thursday night. GO HUSKIES!
