Bantam LL3 Decisive on Home Ice
The Delivery Guys Husky Bantam LL3 were one hundred percent prepared for their game against the Plattsville Rage on December 1. The visitors were sitting one point ahead of the Dogs in the standings and there was a quiet resolve to change that.

The proof came during the first shift of the first frame as the hosts blitzed the opposition net. Connor Ross’s unassisted drive up ice opened the scoring with less than 30 seconds elapsed. The Rage endured several more thrusts before mounting a challenge of their own. Net-minder Liam Saunders was on his game and kept the door shut allowing his team to regroup and go back on the offensive. Spearheading that effort was Cam Gingerich’s feed to Trevor Brubacher who plugged in the second goal in a melee. He would add his own minutes later in another scrum getting help from Justin Arnott. The reeling Plattsville squad was made to suffer a further point against when Ross enacted another unassisted rush in the dying seconds, beating the goalie on the backhand. The pressure was maintained in the second with the physical aspect being ratcheted up a notch. Ross was once again deadly as the frame wound down. He made the most of a feed from Kolton Wagler, rushed up the middle and secured a hat trick in the process. Things would not get easier for the visitors in the final frame as Ross upped the ante yet again on a pass from Gingerich. Then it was Brubacher from Wagler in a scrum followed by a pair from Colin Shannon with Mike Thrush assisting on both. The blistering offense was matched by the textbook defensive plays by Tyler Szanto and Colton Hussey who consistently controlled the puck in their own end and won the battles along the boards. The strong team play result was a decisive 9 – 0 shutout win that saw Ross split the player of the game award with Jake Snider who was fore checking well the entire game.
