Bantam LL3 Huskies Finish Regular Season on Top
The Delivery Guys Bantam LL3 Huskies concluded their regular season play in Wellseley Monday night when they faced the Twin Centre Stars. It was a victory on two fronts for the Dogs as they not only pocketed their 8th straight win, but cemented their 1st place standing in the league.

After a scoreless first period, the Pack got down to business with the pay-off coming on a scrum in front of the Stars goalie. Trevor Brubacher pounded in a feed from Mike Thrush to open the scoring. Both sides began incurring penalties on the rough play but it was the Huskies that capitalized. Kale Meyer forced the offensive zone and fed Jake Snider who sniped it into the top corner to double the Husky tally. It was more rough action in the third but the Dogs were giving as good as they got. Thrush, working down low, got the puck to Cam Gingerich who in turn hit Connor Ross in the slot. He made no mistake and beat the goalie through the 5-hole. He'd get his second goal of the night on a rocket from the point with Meyer and Justin Arnott securing the assists. The Huskies proved too much for the Stars and conceded the 4 - 0 decision to their visitor. The shutout landed a player-of-the-game recognition for Liam Saunders who was solid in net through 3 periods of play while his team concludes regular season play cemented in first place. Congratulations Huskies and good luck in the Kinsmen Cup Tournament and the upcoming post-season play-downs.
