Hukies Salvage a Point at Home
As we returned for some home games needing some wins, the team was put through a tough practice underlining responsibilities and sending a message that puck possession is not something thats automatic, it has to be earned.
It was stressed to the boys that we have been losing too many battles for the puck ending up with less time with it to do what we want. We all now agree that we cant have three huskies go into the corner with one opposing player and not emerge without the rubber.
We had a so-so game against Woolwich LL1, with some good offensive pressure and good sharing of the puck, but we failed to sit on a late lead to secure the two points as we got caught not moving our feet and the puck ended up in our net for a disappointing tie. Another spirited practice followed Sunday and the team is charged up to get back in the win column next Sarturday when we are home to Embro.
