Atom AE Huskies Dominate Centre Wellington in an 8-3 Win!
Your Atom AE Huskies traveled  to Fergus to take on the Centre Wellington Fusion on Saturday November 12th.

The boys were disappointed in the 3-3 tie they played to against the Fusion last Sunday at home and came out of the gates flying. Alex D sniped an unassisted goal at the 0:32 mark of the first and the boys were rolling. Unfortunately the momentum was quickly snuffed out as Centre Wellington scored 2 goals by the 6:31 mark and they were up 2-1. The coaches decided to make a goalie change and put Travis F in to see if they could change the flow of the game. The strategy worked as Anderson A scored with 1:21 left to tie the game, with assists to Finn S and Ellis R. Strong defensive play from Kaden G, Evan H and Caden H kept things calm for the remainder of the period.

The second period went back and forth with Travis making some monster saves to keep the game tied. Trent A broke the deadlock at the 6:25 mark with a hard-earned goal in front of the net with Alex getting the lone assist. Eric M put the Huskies up 4-2 with what ended up being the game winning goal at the 7:03 mark, with assists to Alex and Trent. Lukas K and Luca G moved the puck really well this period and kept the play out of the Huskies' end.

The third period started off with a bang for the Huskies, scoring with only 1:11 gone in the period. Trent got the goal unassisted but the hard work of his linemates was the key factor in this goal. Carter G was back in between the pipes and made a number of key saves. The goals kept coming with Alex getting an unassisted goal and Anderson sniping his second goal with an assist going to Finn. The Fusion scored a power play goal to make it 7-3 for the Huskies before Trent finished off the hat trick with 2:40 remaining, with the assist to Alex. The "Kid Line" of Cole B, Tate E, and Jacob C had a number of chances and kept the pressure on the Fusion but couldn't catch that lucky bounce to get a goal. The boys kept it going and it was a great effort in securing Carter's first win of the season.

The coaches couldn't be happier and hope to keep the momentum going when Milton visits town on Thursday. Great job by all your Atom AE Huskies!
