The Rudy Held Novice local league team continues to improve heading to the halfway mark of their season

On december 4th Plattsville came to town for an exhibition game which saw the Huskies dominate with a 4-2 win. Colin Mcbride stole the show, netting a hatrick! assisting on his goals were Kalan Spielmacher, Riley Leis and Brenden Larocque.  Larocque added one of his own , assisted again by Spielmacher who looked like a seasoned veteran on the ice with his two nice passes.
On december 10th the Huskies saw action agaisnt the tough Novice Local League Ulmer Group team where Jesse Gerber netted 5 of their 6 goals. Cody Cowell notched two goals for us in the 6-2 loss.
December 16th was a special night for our team as we took to the ice in the first intermission of the Firebirds game.  Owen Scott strapped on the pads against netminder Jordan Hopkins in a game which also saw some great play from Thomas Klassen,Adam Roth, Ben Alles and Jack Rempel. The inter-squad game ended in a 2-2 tie. The highlight of the night for the kids was the Firebirds watching and cheering them on during the game Thanks guys!
They ended the week vs the Home Hardware team and despite some hard work from Austin Lee Barker, Nolan Knezevic, Nicholas Walsh, William Austin, and goals from Josh James and Cowell it was not enought to beat them as their Simon Van Rooyn netted a pair to make the final 2-2. Next action will be Dec 31st when Tavistock come's to town, Go Huskies!
