Huskies End OMHA Run
Written by Lori Spoltore,

The New Hamburg Atom AE Huskies have come to the end of the line in their OMHA playoff run as they were eliminated in an action-packed game versus the Pelham Panthers 2-0.  The Huskies now return to regular league playoffs.  Special congratulations to a team that was dedicated and well coached.  The third game versus Pelham saw the Huskies giving their all, and the boys skated hard, but came up short.  Max Evans was excellent in goal for the Huskies as he often faced a flurry of Panthers in front of the net.  He made many outstanding saves and the Huskies fans were impressed by his commitment and focus in the game.  Jake Schweitzer, Jack Weiler and Noah Walmsley gave it their all but the Panther goalies both had excellent glove saves.  Tremendous defensive play by Ryan Hillar, Joey Entz and Logan Kleine.  Sam Herrle, Corson Myers and Zach Hart showed great determination back-checking constantly.  The Pelham team has many facets working in their favour and were a great team to play.  To note, many of the Panther fans thanked the Huskies fans for making them feel welcome in our hometown arena at WRC, and for wishing them the best of luck throughout the rest of the OMHA playoffs. Go Huskies!
