The John Bear Bantam AE Huskies have maintained their perfect record against the Dundas Blues. They played host on Tuesday December 6 for their final regular season game against this club and came away victorious. The Dogs got down to business early with the top line leading the charge. The tag-team effort saw Filip Telescu loading the gun while Nolan Forster pulled the trigger with less than a minute gone. The Blues mounted a dangerous counter attack late in the frame that net minder Matt Santos crushed to keep his team on top. The Huskies continued to apply pressure in the second frame as Austin Dale rattled the Blues goalie on a daring rush. The second marker for the Dogs came from call-up player, Braden Ewing on an unassisted brilliant backhand that found the sweet spot. The game tempo changed at that point. It was rough and fast going forward that saw a parade to the penalty box for both sides. Penalty killing blue-liners, Josh Jewitt, Alex Normandeau, Mike Glauser, Jayden Marion and Robbie Mason were instrumental in keeping the Blues from registering scoring chances throughout the game and set the stage for the final Husky goal. It came at the halfway point in the third on some nice team play from the Husky top line again. Telescu buried his own pad rebound with Forster and Brady Finn getting the assisting credits. The last gasp for the Dundas squad came late in the frame but Santos was quick with the glove, securing the 3 – 0 shut out win.
