Back to league play!
The Novice LL1 Huskies returned to league play this past weekend vs. the tough squad from LL3.  Though the Home team put up a valiant effort, the offence was lacking as LL1 was shut-out for the first time this year, 4-0.

At the start of the game, the coaching staff introduced a new fore-checking system.  Though the team was able to catch on to this system for the most part, some work in practice is needed to refine things a little bit.  With some hard work, it won't be long before all the boys are "Fun Dip Fore-checker Award Winners"!!

Hard Hat honours this week went to Kohen Patten.  Kohen was by the far most improved fore-checker on the team as he pursued the puck with reckless abandon in the offensive zone.  His teammates were in awe as they looked on from the bench and realized how a good, strong fore-check will result in more quality scoring chances!

All the boys will be chomping at the bit this weekend to show how they too can be power forward fore-checkers to help their team get the puck to the offensive net.  LL1 will be travelling to Drayton for the 7th Annual Tyler Lopers Memorial Novice Local League Tournament.  Action starts at 10am vs. a strong squad from Listowel.

Lets go Huskies!!!
