by Lori Spoltore. The New Hamburg PeeWee LL#3 Huskies came together as a team again to defeat their hometown competitors LL#2 with a score of 2-1.
Jack Weiler got the ball rolling midway through the first period with an end to end skate and gorgeous shot on net that found the mesh. Gryphon Myers from LL#2 continued to be an offensive threat with his fantastic stick handling and hard shot. The game was evenly matched and fast-paced. Alex Gruhl was outstanding for the LL#3 Huskies with his consistent play. Early in the third period, Mason Wagner fired one from the point after a beautiful pass from defensive partner Ryan Hillar allowing LL#3 to take a lead. Shortly after LL#2 got one back as Tyler Wagler snuck one past net-minder Mathew Krmpotic with an assist to Aidan Voisin. The game ended 2-1 and the play-off run continues as the Huskies will take on St. George this Saturday. Special mention to Logan Arnott and Devin Mechalko who gave it their all every shift. GO Huskies!
