Tournament Champions
The New Hamburg Huskies LL#1 traveled to the Chatham area to compete in the Woodley-Hoskins Classic. After opening the tournament with an 8-1 win over the West London Hawks, the Huskies were challanged by a strong Jets team from Ilderton. After defeating the Jets 3-1 and taking in some local food and Rogers Hometown Hockey, the Huskies were challenged by the Jets again for the first playoff game of the tournament. A hard fought game saw the Huskies win 3-2 for a birth in the championship game in Ridgetown. The final game was a convincing 9-2 win over the Petrolia Oilers as the Huskies claimed the gold medal in the tournament. Way to go Huskies!
Huskies now have back-to-back games versus LL Team #2 next weekend at WRC.
