U15 B, U15 (New Hamburg Hockey Association)

After winning their Aylmer Qualifying Tournament in November, U15 Local League Team 2 attended the International Silver Stick Tournament this past week-end in Pelham.  They competed in a group of 13 teams from different parts of Ontario and the United States.  It took a frantic comeback, down 4-2 with 4 minutes left in round-robin game 2, but the Huskies finished the tournament undefeated, and ended up winning the final game 5-1 against a top seeded Clearview team.Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and families, on a well deserved International Silver Stick Championship!

The U21 Huskies represented New Hamburg this weekend in Mooretown as they defended their U21A Silver Stick Championship and repeated as Champs! In addition to the Banner and trophy, they were also Awarded the Arlene Hill Sportsmanship Award to the team and Coaches showing the best sportsmanship and having the least penalty minutes.

Calling all Huskies to come out on Sunday January 26 at 3:30 pm to the Wilmot Recreational Centre to cheer on the New Hamburg Firebirds Junior C team play against the Dorchester Dolphins!  Tickets for Huskies players provided by your team coach.  Wear your Huskies jersey and let's fill the stands with Huskies blue! Please note:  the tickets say 7:30 pm but that time is incorrect.  The game is at 3:30 pm.

This year we are fortunate to have local Photographer and Huskies parent, Val Roberts, taking our Team and Individual photos. Val is offering the following options for each player:   1 x 8x10 composite with team photo and 1 individual photo  $20 if 15 people from the same team order  $30 if less than 15 people order   Add-ons: 2 x individual digital prints selected by photographer $10    Payment by cash (preferred) or e-transfer. I want to thank everyone for trying out this year. I have posted the final releases. We will have two open positions available over the summer. I will be working to fill those positions over the summer. I am looking forward to the upcoming season with this group, I think there is a lot of potential. I will see you in Tillsonburg.
