U11 B Evaluation Information
Thank you for your interest in being part of the U11B New Hamburg Huskies! I wanted to share some information about what to expect during these evaluations and for the upcoming season. I look forward to sharing more about objectives, development, and  expectations once the final roster is selected.

As a reminder, the schedule for this week is:
- Evaluation – Monday, May 12, 5:30pm at the Wilmot Rec Centre
- Evaluation – Tuesday, May 13, 5:30pm at the Wilmot Rec Centre
- Evaluation Game – Thursday, May 15, 5:30pm at the Wilmot Rec Centre, vs Ayr
- Evaluation Game – Friday, May 16, 6:00pm at the NDCC, vs Ayr

Given the high turnout some players will be released from the team after each scheduled ice-time. I will get these updates posted on this webpage the night of each skate, or early the following morning. Releasing a player is not an easy thing to do and is the hardest part of coaching, and all decisions will be made carefully.

The final roster will be posted by 9pm, Friday, May 16th. I’m hoping that those that are selected will be able to attend a player and family meet and greet the following morning, Saturday, May 17th, 9am at the Wilmot Rec Complex.

Lists of who will be dressing for the exhibition games will be posted on this webpage. Players who have not been released but are not dressing for the games are still asked to attend the games to cheer on their teammates.

Throughout evaluations we will be looking for individuals that show a high level of hockey IQ, compete, and show a positive attitude, in addition to demonstrating the core hockey skills. Tryouts are often a stressful time, and the most beneficial thing we can do for the players is to support them and have them play at a level where they have the best opportunity to develop. If you have any concerns, please respect the OMHA protocol of waiting 24 hours prior to contacting me. If I receive an email before this time, I will respond when the 24-hour period has passed.

Thank you again for your interest, and I look forward to seeing you at the rink.
