PeeWee LL#3 Opens Regular Season

Congratulations to the PeeWee LL#3 as they began their opening season with a game on the road against a strong team from Beverly and a home game versus Woolwich LL#1.
On the road the Huskies were defeated by a very fast, strong offensive team in Beverly. The boys proved that they can work as a team as they passed well and worked hard to fire some shots on net. Charlie Slessor scored twice for the Huskies with assists to Jack Weiler, and Weiler cashed as well with a pass from Slessor. Great attitude shown by net-minder Mathew Krmpotic as he faced a flurry of shots, and made many saves. Excellent hustle in the game from Brady Richardson and Devin Mechalko. In game two at the Huskies' home opener, a big team from Woolwich arrived but the game was evenly paced and the Huskies played fantastic. At the half way point of the first period Noah Bauman from Woolwich snuck one in to go ahead in the game. The Huskies tied the game up with a beautiful first- time goal from Marcus Scheid, a new player to the system. Scheid roofed one past the Woolwich goalie and the home crowd was ecstatic. Excellent defensive play and strong backchecking for the Huskies by Mason Wagner, Alexander Gruhl, and Logan Arnott. Evan Pfaff and Joseph Heise bring size to the team and worked well physically. Terrific hustle from Ryan Hillar and Brandon Jantzi.
