LL#3 Huskies Skate to 2-2 TIe With Ayr

Josslin Insurance's LL#3 PeeWee Huskies finished with a tie versus Ayr on the weekend with a great effort from the team. Once again, the defensive work by Alex Gruhl, Joseph Heise and Mason Wagner was superb as they kept the play moving and cleared the puck from the Huskies' end as best they could. Ryan Hillar scored the first goal for the Huskies right off a face-off into the net to lead the way, but Ayr came back shortly after to tie the game. They then went ahead in the second 2-1and the Huskies had some work to do. Both teams got into some penalty trouble and much of the second period was played short-handed. Early in the third period Charlie Slessor was tripped up which allowed for a Husky power play, and seven seconds later, he scored after another sweet pass from Jack Weiler. Ayr's goalie, Kaelan Duffy was big in net and often went down causing many of the Huskies to shoot high on their scoring opportunities, but many shots went over the net. Great effort from Branson Jantzi who continually hustles. The Huskies will take on Woolwich LL#2 this coming weekend. Go Huskies!
