Streak of 3!
Local LL2 was put to the test again this past weekend against a very determined LL4 team.
A slow start for the boys off the opening draw and found themselves pinned in our own end. With some nice defensive play and a few great saves by Jayden Cook-Reiner we were able to get the puck out on a nice breakout to Brendon Gerber who made no mistake at the other other end to make it a 1-0 game. LL4 didn't let down as they came back within 2 minutes to tie the game at 1. In the second period the boys came out flying as Stu Hartman sent a pass up the ice for Brendan Gerber who dangled for his second goal of the game (in which turned out to be the game winner). With Cohen Christner locking down the defense and the backchecking effort of Max Berry and Owen Donkers the boys rallied for another couple of goals to seal the win. Great team effort by everyone! It looks like we are starting to gel as a team!
