Snyder with the Hat Trick - Huskies Atom LL2 Defeat LL1
Still buzzing from their decisive win against Platsville, the Oak Grove Cheese LL2 Atom Huskies were looking to continue their up-tempo play against fellow hometown Huskies LL1 Squad on Sunday December 22nd.

With the stands at near-capacity, the fans were in for a great game.  The action was tight in the first period with both Husky teams giving it their all.    Forward Quinn Klasnic, stick still hot from the previous day, put LL2 on the board with a wrist shot past the opposing goalie, assisted by Jack Rempel to close out the first period.

The game remained tight going into the second period, but not for long as LL2 offense came alive once again.  Tanner Snyder lit up the opposing net with a goal assisted by Ben Baptie.    Jack Rempel continued his presence on the production line, with a nice unassisted goal.
Snyder struck again, wristing one top-shelf off of an Owen Burns pass to put his team up 4-2.

Ryan Yost also got in on the action at the end of the second period, scoring a hard fought goal off an assist from Rempel.

The third period saw more offensive output by LL2 with Rempel again burying the biscuit for his second goal of the game, assists from Klasnic and Yost.

Snyder wasn’t done yet, as he snapped one passed the LL1 netminder, assisted by Ben Alles, to complete his hat-trick.

With the game in the dying minutes of the third, LL2 centreman Macarther Brennan picked up on a pass from Riley Leis to score a breakaway goal.

Ben Baptie added the final LL2 goal, scoring off assists from Snyder and Yost.

Strong play from LL2 goalie Shaun Zwosta and rock solid defence proved vital again, as the LL2 Huskies notched a 9-3 victory.
