The Huskies hosted the Hesspler Shamrocks last Saturday. The Shamrocks came on strong to start and on a good rush four minutes in they caught Kai off guard. He recovered in time to make a fantastic sprawling stick save that was the highlight of the game.
The Huskies mounted a great offence, maintaining puck control in the offensive zone but the Hesspler goalie was a wall, stopping at least 20 shots in the first period alone. Jonas finally figured the goalie out and Simon found the five hole with one minute left in the period. The second period saw a slew of penalties being handed out to both teams, with 3 Shamrocks in the box at one point. 77 for the Shamrocks made a great move to put Hesspler on the board. Drew answered back with a great shot that beat the goalie on the post side. The huskies continued to pour on the offence, finishing with seven points on the board. The boys did a great job controlling the puck and using the point to maintain puck control. Way to go Huskies!
